Biography
Esteve Guitars was born in Valencia in 1957, when Francisco Esteve, Manuel Adalid and Antonio Monfort decided to create their own Spanish guitar workshop and begin an adventure totally dedicated to this instrument. In the Mediterranean town of Alboraia, very close to the city of Valencia, the workshop grows to become one of the most prestigious guitar craft centers in Spain. Since its origins, the philosophy of the house is based on the quality of materials, meticulous hand work and absolute respect for the tradition of the Spanish guitar maker.
Over time, new generations join the project and the workshop evolves from a small luthiery space to an organized company, but without losing the family and artisan character. Today, Guitarras Esteve brings together more than forty-fifty specialized craftsmen who manufacture all instruments entirely in Spain, keeping alive the spirit of the original workshop founded in 1957. The result is guitars with their own identity, highly valued by students, demanding fans and professionals from all over the world who seek the sound and character of the authentic Spanish guitar.
Background
Since that first workshop opened in 1957, the trajectory of Guitarras Esteve has been that of a brand that has known how to grow without giving up its artisanal roots. Over the decades, the workshop has expanded its facilities and human resources to become one of the largest artisan guitar manufacturers in Spain, with more than fifty luthiers and artisans working in Alboraia. This growth has allowed us to develop very complete lines, from studio models to concert guitars, always built following the traditional Spanish system.
At the same time, the firm has incorporated technical improvements and new control and design technologies to adapt to the demands of the international market, maintaining the balance between tradition and modernity. Today, Esteve guitars are distributed in numerous countries and enjoy a consolidated prestige among specialized stores, conservatories and artists looking for reliable, comfortable instruments with a fully Spanish tone. This trajectory makes Guitarras Esteve a key brand in the recent history of the Spanish guitar, with its own identity that you can clearly differentiate from other lines such as that of Manuel Adalid.
