About the product

Esteve Guitars works with a team of craftsmen who follow the classic Spanish construction system, selecting stabilized tonewoods and performing the final adjustment by hand. His philosophy combines careful production and luthiery details typical of a Spanish luthier, giving rise to professional-level classical and flamenco guitars with a very balanced natural acoustic.

The Esteve Lacote is a Spanish guitar handmade that links the romantic tradition of the 19th century with the constructive rigor of one of the most recognized Valencian workshops. Made in Spain in the Esteve Guitars workshop, it was born as a tribute to the historic Lacote guitars, adapted to the demands of today’s guitarist looking for a concert instrument with great comfort and response.

The Esteve Lacote has a solid German spruce top, which provides clarity and harmonic richness in the mid-high register. The back and the sides are made of Indian rosewood or maple, always completely solid in construction, offering two well-differentiated tonal personalities. The cedar neck with carbon fiber reinforcement and the ebony fingerboard guarantee stability and precision in the action, while the 630 mm scale and 48 nut mmprovide especially comfortable ergonomics. The shellac finish highlights the open pore of the wood and promotes balanced projection and generous sustain.

With back and sides made of Indian rosewood, the guitar is close to the Spanish classical concert guitar: warm sound, rich in harmonics, with deep bass and balanced projection, ideal for a chamber concert instrument or to enjoy at home with intimate nuances. The response is direct, with broad sustain and a resonance that envelops without losing clarity in complex harmonies.

With a maple back and sides, the character becomes somewhat lighter and brighter: it maintains the warmth of the German spruce but with a clearer articulation and a faster response, ideal if you prefer a more transparent tone that is closer to the romantic guitar. In both cases, the short scale facilitates legatos, expressive vibratos and an immediate response, investing both the classical repertoire and light adaptations of flamenco palos in a professional guitar with a romantic feel.

A handmade concert guitar designed for those who want to feel every nuance under their hands and turn every moment of study into a moment of sonic enjoyment.
