Prudencio Saez, a Valencian workshop with more than half a century of experience in classical guitars, flamenco guitars and plectrum family, applies the same philosophy to the bandurria 1700 as in its concert instruments: artisanal construction made in Spain, selected solid woods and special care for stability, comfort and timbral homogeneity throughout the fingerboard.

The Bandurria Prudencio Saez 1700 is a top-of-the-range instrument, calvete type, built entirely with solid woods: solid German spruce top, solid bird’s eye maple back and sides, and ebony fingerboard. The neck is made of cedar, with rosewood bridge, bone nut and saddle, precision headstock with wooden knobs, characteristic oval soundhole and a matte finish that enhances the bird’s eye maple pattern without adding unnecessary weight to the case. It has a scale of 280 mm, with 52 mm at the nut, 90 mm at the butt and 100 mm at the stock, measurements that favor balanced ergonomics for the left hand even in high positions.

The spruce top provides an immediate response, with great clarity in each order and a harmonic richness that makes it chords and arpeggios have tonal depth and a balanced projection, ideal for both accompanying and solo playing in classical guitar or flamenco guitar contexts.
