About the product
The Prudencio Sáez workshop
Since the 60s, Prudencio Sáez has maintained in Valencia a way of working with the Spanish guitar based on careful selection of woods, manual processes and individual adjustments. Its semi-professional line – where this 2‑M (G9) is located – has established itself as a natural bridge between the studio guitar and the handcrafted concert guitar, highly appreciated by teachers and advanced students.
Technical details and construction
The 2-M (G9) has a solid cedar top, solid rosewood sides and back, cedar neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, with glossy finish, 650 mm scale and 52 mm nut. The set offers a very solid Spanish guitar but balanced in weight, with a comfortable neck and careful action, designed for long study sessions without fatigue.
Sound and character
The solid cedar top provides a warm sound, with full-bodied bass and a medium-full register, ideal if you come from German spruce or Canadian cedar guitars and are looking for more density without losing clarity. The solid Indian rosewood enhances harmonic richness, tonal depth and a natural acoustic that opens with generous sustain and balanced projection, controllable both in intimate touch and in larger spaces. It is a classical guitar that is very sensitive to the nuances of the right hand and that effortlessly admits a more percussive attack close to a certain light flamenco guitar, always with transparency and immediate response.
An ideal companion for those who want to enjoy at home a handmade Spanish guitar made in Spain, with the spirit of a professional guitar and a sound that invites you to continue searching for colors and emotions in each note.
Reviews
The Prudencio Sáez 2‑M (G9) is a handcrafted semi-professional classical guitar made in Spain, designed for those who want to feel like a true concert instrument also in the living room. Built entirely with solid woods and the signature of a Spanish luthier with a long tradition, it is very close to the category of professional guitar due to response, detail and balanced projection.
