About the product
Vicente Carrillo: Manchegan tradition and mastery
The Carrillo saga brings together several generations of luthiers dedicated to the Spanish guitar, combining La Mancha tradition and a very modern approach to stability, comfort and projection.
The Vicente Carrillo Estudio Ciprés Cañizares is an artisanal flamenco guitar made in Spain that was born from the collaboration between the master luthier Vicente Carrillo and Juan Manuel Cañizares, designed for those looking for a professional instrument from day one.
Technical details and construction
The top is offered in both German spruce and Canadian cedar, the sides and back are made of Spanish cypress, which provides tonal coherence and immediate response throughout the register. The mast, traditionally made of cedar, is designed to offer comfort and precision in the attack, facilitating both fast picking and harmonious accompaniment.
The fingerboard is made of African ebony, a very dense and resistant wood that ensures a smooth and durable surface, ideal for withstanding the constant wear of the strings and transmitting a precise and detailed sound. The Pau Ferro bridge is hand-carved to optimize the transmission of vibrations and the height of the strings, favoring flamenco technique and sound projection. The nitrocellulose finishes, a varnish that protects the wood without reducing the flexibility of the top, allowing for natural and organic acoustics.
Sound and character
The cypress body provides a warm and deep sound, with a very direct resonance and a balanced projection that fills the room without losing clarity. The low registers maintain a dry and controlled contour, while the high registers are perceived as crystalline, with good harmonic richness and sufficient sustain for singable falsetas without giving up the percussive character of the strumming.
A handcrafted flamenco guitar made in Spain that invites you to play it daily: perfect for the demanding fan who wants to feel in their hands the touch, warm sound and craftsmanship of a true concert instrument.
