About the product

Since 1744, the Carrillo family has maintained one of the most respected sagas of guitar makers in Spain. Under the hand of Vicente Carrillo, eighth generation of luthiers, his workshop in Casasimarro combines the artisanal heritage of La Mancha with contemporary technical precision. Each guitar reflects a search for balance between tradition, expressiveness and acoustic perfection, creating instruments appreciated by players around the world.

The Alegrias Negra is a handmade flamenco guitar made in Spain with selected top quality woods. The soundboard, in fine-grain German spruce, offers great clarity and immediate response. The Indian rosewood back and sides provide depth and projection, giving this model its unique “black” character, deeper and rounder than traditional cypress. The neck is built in Brazilian cedar, with ebony fingerboard for a firm and precise touch. The nitrocellulose lacquer varnish enhances the natural resonance and shine of the woods. Its traditional bracing reinforces a balanced harmonic distribution and notable power in all registers.

The timbre of the Alegrias Negra combines the characteristic brilliance of a flamenco guitar with the body and softness of a concert instrument. Its balanced projection, great clarity of attack and generous sustain make each note breathe with harmonic richness. The response is immediate to the touch, with a natural acoustic and a warm and round sound, which allows both the strength of the strum and the subtlety of the melodic touch.

The Vicente Carrillo Alegrias Negra invites you to discover the sonorous fullness and sensitivity of a high-level guitar, created with a Spanish soul and artisanal dedication.
