About the product
The Guitarras Esteve workshop
Guitars Esteve was born in Valencia, in the heart of Spanish lutherie, with decades of artisanal craft that is transmitted from generation to generation. Its philosophy combines traditional Spanish construction with rigorous wood selection criteria, resulting in instruments that balance sound authenticity, playability and durability. The 9F is their reference white flamenco proposal: an instrument made in Spain with first-class materials and artisanal finishing.
Technical details and construction
The top is made of spruce (Picea abies), known for its ability to vibrate quickly and its characteristic tonal clarity. Back and sides are made of solid Spanish cypress (Cupressus sempervirens), the emblematic wood of the white, light and resonant flamenco guitar. The neck is made of cedar, reinforced with carbon fiber to ensure long-term stability, while the ebony fingerboard offers a fast and precise surface under the fingers. The finish is in nitrocellulose lacquer, fine and respectful of the natural vibration of the wood. The scale is 650 mm, providing comfort in both position and speed as well as string separation.
Sound and character
The combination of European spruce with solid cypress defines the sonorous soul of white flamenco: an immediate percussive attack, with that dry presence in the middle registers that flamenco demands, and a clean natural projection that does not need artifice. The cypress provides brightness, lightness and that tonal transparency that allows every pick, strum and top hit to resonate with crystalline clarity. The spruce adds controlled warmth and a harmonic richness that enriches the sound without drowning it out, with a balanced sustain that makes the guitar as rewarding on a slow soleá as on a fired-up bulería. The low action facilitates immediate response and fluid technique, inviting you to play for hours without effort.
