About the product

The Vicente Carrillo Yamandu Estudio is a handmade Spanish guitar made in Spain that was born from the collaboration between the Spanish luthier Vicente Carrillo and the virtuoso Yamandu Costa, transferring many of the sound ideas of their 7-string concert models to the studio format. Designed as an accessible professional guitar, it maintains the aesthetic and constructive signature of the Casasimarro workshop, with a balanced natural acoustic and a clear focus on the real musicality of the performer.

The Yamandu Estudio responds faithfully to the legacy of Carrillo and the musical vision of Yamandu Costa. The soundboard, available in Canadian cedar or German spruce, is carefully selected to enhance natural projection and immediate response. The Indian rosewood back and sides add tonal depth and structural solidity, while the cedar neck and ebony fingerboard ensure comfort and resistance. This guitar is finished in nitrocellulose varnish, valued for its fine texture and ability to respect the natural vibration of the wood. The internal bracing—characteristic of Carrillo—favors acoustic balance and clean resonance.

With Canadian cedar top, the timbre tends towards a warm sound, immediate, with quick response to soft touch and a generous sustain that favors melodic lines and enveloping arpeggios. With German spruce, the guitar offers greater transparency and balanced projection, with a very defined note-to-note response, ideal for those seeking clarity in articulation and a natural acoustic that grows over the years. In both cases, the Indian rosewood provides tonal depth, round bass and bright treble, giving a character of a handcrafted concert guitar suitable both for classical repertoire and for exploring nuances close to the modern flamenco guitar.

Immerse yourself in the sensory experience of a professional guitar made in Spain, designed for those seeking the genuine value of a handcrafted concert instrument, and discover the emotion of each chord in the warmth and sonic beauty of an authentic work of Spanish luthier.
