Vicente Carrillo: Manchegan heritage and mastery
From his workshop in Casasimarro, Cuenca, Vicente Carrillo continues a dynasty of luthiers that dates back to 1755. Each guitar that bears his signature unites Spanish tradition, contemporary precision and a refined balance between power, sweetness and clarity. Internationally recognized—with the support of guitarists such as Vicente Amigo and Paco de Lucía—Carrillo continues to make handcrafted guitars made in Spain that combine musical sensitivity with unmatched workshop mastery.
Construction and materials
This handcrafted concert guitar stands out for its top in your choice of German spruce (shinier) or Canadian cedar, woods specially selected and cured for more than twenty years in the workshop, which provides stability and tonal texture. The back and sides are made of solid Madagascar rosewood, giving it great visual beauty. The neck is made of Brazilian cedar, while the fingerboard is made of polished black ebony, guaranteeing precision and smoothness of touch. The varnish is nitrocellulose, applied by hand, preserving the natural acoustics and allowing the guitar to breathe and age gracefully. It includes double hoops (reinforced sides) and traditional bracing, contributing to advanced sound projection and greater structural stability.
Sound and character
Provides powerful and voluminous sound withsweet highs, deep and clear bass, almost infinite sustain and harmonic richness thanks to itsdouble top and sides that enhance balanced projection and resonance. Its tonal elasticity and warmth allow for the shaping of bright or soft textures, evoking sensory depth in a professional guitar.
With each strum and touch, the Gabriela II opens a space where the wood vibrates with emotion and refinement, inviting you to rediscover the pleasure of playing a handmade guitar made in Spain. This instrument represents an opportunity to own a professional guitar that is as unique as it is welcoming, worthy of those seeking to explore the resonance and soul of music from their hands.
