About the product

Juan Hernández, Valencian luthier of the purest Spanish tradition, creates handcrafted classical guitars with manual dedication and a philosophy that unites impeccable ergonomics and exceptional acoustics in each instrument made in Spain.

The Juan Hernández Bossanova 7-string concert guitar offers two premium solid tops: fine-grained Canadian cedar for an immediate, warm attack, or select German spruce that enhances clarity and dynamic projection. Back and sides in solid Indian rosewood guarantee tonal depth and prolonged sustain; cedar neck reinforced with ebony fingerboard, 650 mm scale and 20 frets for precise and comfortable touch response, even in extended tunings. Natural nitrocellulose lacquer varnish preserves the free vibration of the wood, achieving a natural and breathing acoustic typical of the Spanish luthier.

Its timbre is warm and enveloping, with elastic and powerful bass that integrates the seventh string in an organic way, ideal for bossanova, choro or intimate flamenco rhythms. The mids sing with harmonic richness and transparency, while the highs shine in subtle nuances, offering balanced projection and generous sustain that effortlessly fills the space. Both in cedar – rounder and more accessible – and in spruce – brighter and more defined -, it responds with immediacy to the finger or pick, inviting hours of sound exploration without fatigue.

Made to awaken the professional guitar within you, this handcrafted Bossanova transforms each note at home into a deeply personal, resonant experience.
