About the product
The Esteve workshop
Esteve Guitars have been manufacturing in Valencia since the mid-20th century, combining traditional luthiery methods with modern control of stability and wood selection. The model 8 is conceived as a completely solid, handcrafted concert instrument that stands above the brand’s studio models.
Construction and materials
The Esteve 8 has a solid Canadian cedar top (also available with German spruce upon request), with solid Indian rosewood back and sides. The neck is made of reinforced samanguilla with an ebony strip, ebony fingerboard and rosewood bridge, with a 650 mm scale and a glossy finish in polyurethane with great stability. The completely solid body optimizes the natural acoustics and balanced projection of the instrument.
Sound and character
The cedar provides an immediate warm sound, with quick response to the touch, great sustain and a harmonic richness that envelops the player from the first chord. The high voices are clear and sing-song, while the bass offers tonal depth and body, always maintaining a very Spanish balance between presence, transparency and projection. This classical guitar adapts both to traditional repertoire and to touches close to the flamenco guitar, offering a balanced projection that fills a room without lose detail in the intimate touch at home.
A handmade Spanish guitar like the Esteve 8 invites you to sit down, breathe its aroma of Indian rosewood and let each note speak for itself; It is one of those instruments that, once in your hands, it is difficult not to take home.
