The Guitarras Camps workshop
Camps, master luthiers since 1945 in Girona, Spain, founded by Joan Camps Coll, fuse the artisanal tradition of the Spanish guitar with precise technical innovations. Its construction philosophy prioritizes natural acoustics and ergonomic comfort, incorporating pioneering amplification systems since 1977 that respect the sound essence of the instrument made in Spain.
Technical details and construction
The Camps NAC 4 Fir stands out for its solid German spruce soundboard (solid spruce), selected for its rigidity and uniform vibration, combined with ziricote back and sides refined, a dense exotic wood that provides stability and warmth. The neck is made of Canadian cedar with a bidirectional adjustable shaft for perfect fit, fingerboard and bridge in ebony and rosewood, 52 mm bone nut and 58 mm spacing between 1st-6th. Its glossy varnish highlights the narrow body (depth 62-67 mm) with narrow cutaway for full access to the fingerboard, 650 mm throw and Fishman Pro-Blend preamp with six independent nuts, allowing versatile tonal balance live or studio.
Sound and character
The German spruce infuses a crystalline and warm tone, with deep resonance, harmonic richness and balanced projection that fills intimate spaces withprolonged sustain and immediate response. Its natural acoustics reveal tonal depth, transparency in the treble and round body in the bass, evoking the professional classical guitar of a Spanish luthier that responds to the subtlest touch with an enveloping tactile vibration and warm sound, ideal for exploring repertoires with emotional precision.
Imagine its harmonies unfolding in your fingers, uniting centuries of lutheria with your personal notes; This handcrafted Indian rosewood and spruce guitar hopes to transform your musical moments at home.
