About the product

Since its origins in Valencia, Guitarras Esteve has been building handcrafted instruments with a rigor that few workshops can match for almost seven decades. Its more than fifty luthiers work with the philosophy that each note should speak for itself, fusing traditional techniques with carefully selected materials. The 9F Flamenca Negra is the most refined expression of that heritage: a professional flamenco guitar made in Spain that brings together sound, character and construction precision in a single instrument.

The top is made of spruce (Picea abies).  The back and sides, made of solid Indian rosewood, provide tonal depth and a rich harmonic complexity characteristic of black flamenco. The cedar (Cedrela odorata) neck, reinforced with carbon fiber, offers exceptional stability and unmatched tactile comfort. The ebony fingerboard completes the set with a fast, precise and dry-touch surface that invites you to pick and strum with complete ease. The 650 mm scale and the nitrocellulose lacquer finish protect the wood without drowning out its vibrations, allowing the top to breathe and mature over the years.

The 9F Flamenca Negra has a dark and velvety tone in the bass, with mids full of presence and bright but never strident highs. The combination of spruce and Indian rosewood generates a dense harmonic richness and a generous sustain that contrasts with the percussive dryness that flamenco demands: clean attack, quick response and a balanced projection that fills any space without losing intimacy. It is a guitar that speaks from the first touch, without the need for excessive break-in, with that warm and vibrant character that only authentic Spanish craftsmanship gives.

If you have ever imagined what a guitar that perfectly balances flamenco punch with the elegance of rosewood would sound like, this is your answer. You don’t need to go on stage to deserve it: simply playing it at home is already a transforming experience.
