Technical details and construction
The Gipsy Kings Dorada by André Reyes is a narrow-body flamenco guitar handcrafted according to the specifications of the world-renowned Gipsy Kings group. The top is made of solid spruce, a wood with renowned projection and tonal clarity; The sides and the back are made of cypress, a classic material for the Spanish flamenco guitar that provides lightness, brilliance and an immediate percussive response. The neck is made of cedar and the fingerboard is made of ebony, offering a combination of tactile comfort and precision and its scale is 650 mm. The gold polyurethane finish gives the instrument an elegant visual presence and long-lasting protection.
Sound and character
Its narrow case and lightweight construction translate into a practically instantaneous response: the sound explodes clean, bright and percussive from the first stroke of the pick or strum. The cypress gives the timbre that characteristic dry and crystalline color of pure flamenco, with a natural projection that fills the space effortlessly. The spruce on the top provides body and harmonic richness in the middle registers, generating a genuine sound balance between attack, sustain and tonal transparency.
