Camps, a Spanish luthier from Banyoles founded in 1945 by the Camps brothers, embodies the artisanal philosophy of Spanish flamenco guitars, prioritizing select woods and ergonomics for a light and lively concert instrument.
Technical details and construction
The Camps FL11 C FLEX BL features solid German spruce top, solid Spanish cypress back and sides for that characteristic flamenco lightness, cedar neck with bi-directional adjustable rod, ebony fingerboard and rosewood bridge. 650 mm scale, nut 52 mm with 1st-6th distance of 58 mm, box depth 85-90 mm and Fishman FLEX BL preamplifier with six independent chairs for perfect balance, finished in glossy varnish.
Sound and character
It displays a bright, crystalline timbre with enveloping warmth, quick response and balanced projection, evoking the naturally vibrant acoustic of the white flamenco guitar. Its harmonic richness, lively sustain and percussive texture in the bass with transparency in the treble enrich each falseta or strum, offering tonal depth and resonance that inspires in intimate sessions.
