About the product

Paco Castillo is a Valencian firm, with extensive experience in classical guitar, flamenco guitar and artisanal plectrum family made in Spain, always under the traditional Spanish construction system. Their bandurrias and lutes have established themselves as reliable and highly cared for instruments in the relationship between comfort, stability and acoustic response, designed for both advanced students and demanding musicians who want a concert instrument to also play at home.

The Paco Castillo B4 bandurria is a handcrafted calvete model, with solid German spruce top and solid sapelli back and sides, a combination that balances clarity, projection and body in the mid-low register. The African mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard provide stability, a firm tactile feel and a quick response under the fingers, completed by gold tuners and Indian rosewood profiles that reinforce the structure and add an aesthetic touch of a professional-grade Spanish guitar. The construction follows the traditional Spanish luthier scheme, with a relatively compact case and careful assembly to ensure homogeneous natural acoustics throughout the fingerboard.

Thanks to thesolid spruce top, the bandurria B4 offers an immediate response, with defined attack and a resonance rich in harmonics that makes melodic plucking so easy as the rhythmic accompaniment. The solid sapelli on the back and sides provides a warm sound, with balanced projection and good clarity between voices, allowing each chord to open with tonal depth without losing control of sustain. The sensation for the performer is that of a handcrafted instrument made in Spain that dialogues very well with classical guitar and flamenco guitar, functioning as an authentic concert instrument in any room, with a natural acoustic that invites you to explore fine dynamic nuances.

A professional bandurria like the Paco Castillo B4 invites you to pick it up every day, enjoy its warm sound and the comfort of a Spanish luthier and turn every moment at home into a small sonic luxury that is difficult to return to the case.
