About the product
Vicente Carrillo: Manchegan tradition and mastery
The Vicente Carrillo guitar Cañizares Estudio India was born in the Casasimarro workshop (Cuenca), where several generations of luthiers have perfected a very personal way of understanding the Spanish guitar, combining artisanal tradition, woods cured for decades and a modern approach to fit and comfort. The result of collaboration with maestro Juan Manuel Cañizares, this line seeks to offer a high-level flamenco and classical studio guitar, made in Spain, with the same construction rigor as the house’s concert models.
Technical details and construction
The Cañizares Estudio India model is built with solid Indian rosewood back and sides, selected for its stability and its ability to provide harmonic depth and balanced projection. The top can be made of German spruce or Canadian cedar, following the specifications of the India Studio series, allowing you to choose between a brighter and more defined response (spruce) or a warmer and more enveloping sound (cedar). The cedar neck, the ebony fingerboard and the nitrocellulose lacquer finish guarantee a comfortable touch, good ergonomics and natural acoustics, preserving the free vibration of the top.
Sound and character
The timbre offers a warm sound, with round bass and clear treble, great sustain and a harmonic richness that opens up with very little hand effort right. The immediate response and balanced projection make each note come out clearly, maintaining an excellent reading in arpeggios, chopped and strums, with a very direct feeling under the fingers.
A Spanish guitar made in Spain, designed for those who want to feel at home the live pulse of a great Spanish luthier’s workshop, enjoy natural acoustics and take a definitive leap in their daily inspiration.
